This route will take you along the beautiful Macclesfield Canal to Marple where you join the Peak Forest Canal. This is where the work starts! This route requires about 8 hours of cruising time per day, with plenty of locks. The ring takes you down the Ashton Canal into central Manchester and then onto the Bridgewater Canal and the Trent and Mersey Canal before rejoining the Macclesfield Canal at Kidsgrove.
